Important Announcement: Gene Finance Migration to Metaverse Instructions
We are extremely excited to announce the launch of Gene Finance on Metaverse ETP and we would like to provide the community with additional details regarding the launch of Gene Finance on Metaverse.
We will support the migration of 6 pools to Gene Finance on Metaverse:
- ETP/USDT Dog
- GENE/USDT Taotie
- DNA/USDT Dragon
- ETP Deer
- GENE Tiger
- DNA Bull
The remaining pools will stay on Ethereum and will be accessible via a dedicated website. It will be made public soon after the migration to Metaverse ETP is successfully completed.
We request the community to stop trading their assets on Gene Swap from the 19th of April 9:00 AM EST until the 23rd of April 9:00 AM EST in order to ensure a smooth transition from Ethereum to Metaverse ETP. The staking and unstaking functions will not be available as well. In order to avoid any confusion, we will disable all front-end buttons on the following websites during this period:
In the sections below, we will provide further clarification on what is required in order to successfully trade and stake your assets on Metaverse starting April 23rd, 9:00 AM EST.
1. Instructions on the Migration
A) If your ETP is on the Metaverse UTXO (Legacy Chain):
Metaverse community members who would like to transfer their ETPs from the UTXO Legacy Chain to the New Metaverse Chain can do so using MyETPWallet. We have written a complete guide that walks you through all the steps to successfully convert your UTXO ETP to New ETP.
You will need to download the newMetaverseVM Browser Wallet:

IMPORTANT: Please note that this token swap will begin on April 22nd, the token swap is NOT yet in operation and we will announce again when the token swap officially begins on April 22nd.
B) If your assets are currently on Ethereum:
Users currently staking their assets on Gene Finance (Ethereum) will not have to do anything during the migration.
We will facilitate the transfer of your assets from Gene Finance on Ethereum to Metaverse free of any charge. You will need to restake your funds after we complete the migration.
Thus, we strongly advise the community to stake all ERC-20 tokens prior to April 19th, 2021 9:00 AM EST (Staking and trading functions will be stopped on Gene Finance Ethereum between 19th and 23rd and will start again on Gene Finance Metaverse on April 23rd)
If you realize that you forgot to stake some of your assets, you can use Gene Bridge (https://bridge.gene.finance/) to transfer them to Metaverse ETP on April 22nd. IMPORTANT: Please note that the Gene Bridge will begin on April 22nd, the Gene Bridge is not yet in operation and we will announce again when this process officially begins on April 22nd.
The Gene Bridge is currently in beta mode and only facilitates one-way transactions to Metaverse ETP. As a result, please only transfer the amount of assets you will need to Metaverse ETP. On April 22nd, Gene Bridge will support the transfer of the following ERC-20 assets:
- GENE (ERC-20)
- ETP (ERC-20)
- DNA (ERC-20)
- USDT (ERC-20)
Please note that we charge a transaction fee on every transfer and that we will not execute transfers for amounts below the minimum amount required. For more details on our transaction fees and minimum transfer amounts, please refer to the table below:
C) If your assets are currently on Huobi Eco Chain (Heco):
If you have assets such as GENE or USDT on Heco, you can use Gene Bridge (https://bridge.gene.finance/) to transfer them to Metaverse ETP. We will start to facilitate the migration of assets on the 22nd of April. Please note that Gene Bridge is currently in beta mode and only facilitates one-way transactions to Metaverse ETP. As a result, only transfer the amount of assets you will need to Metaverse ETP. Gene Bridge currently supports the transfer of the following HRC-20 assets:
- GENE (HRC-20)
- USDT (HRC-20)
Please note that we charge a transaction fee on every transfer and that we will not execute transfers for amounts below the minimum amount required. For more details on our transaction fees and minimum transfer amounts, please refer to the table below:
2. Community Checklist Prior to April 19th:
We have also gathered here a few tips to get you ready for launch day:
- Purchase some ETP on an exchange or Gene Swap (Ethereum) and be ready to transfer it to the New Metaverse blockchain via MyETPWallet. This starts on April 22nd.
- Transfer USDT from Ethereum or Huobi Eco Chain via Gene Bridge (https://bridge.gene.finance/) in order to purchase ETP, DNA, and GENE on Metaverse and earn liquidity mining rewards for providing liquidity and staking your tokens. This starts on April 22nd.
- Download MetaverseVM browser extension and install a new wallet (or import your wallet using your 12 keywords from MyETPWallet). You can download this now: https://learn.mvs.org/user-guide/metaversevm-browser-extension-mainnet-version
- If you have GENE, DNA, ETP, or LP Tokens on Ethereum, lock them before April 19th, 2021 9:00 AM EST so we can facilitate the transfer of your assets to Metaverse free of charge.
